Website Redesign
Summary:
- Performed heuristic evaluation on an outdated website to reveal usability problems
- Created wireframes and Hi-Fi mock ups of potential website redesigns
- Utilized flow diagram to gain a better understanding of website interactions
Challenge:
This was a project for a graphic design course at the University of Michigan in 2008 in a group of three. The assignment was to find a website that needed a redesign.
Process:
The first thing we did was do a heuristic analysis on the website. We also created some logo redesign iterations. The next part of the assignment was to create a moodboard and flow diagram of the site. The next step was to do some preliminary wireframing. Once that was done we created some Hi-Fidelity mock ups. We finished the project in under a month, with the final deliverable being a powerpoint that outlines the process we followed and shows our wireframes, Hi-Fi mock ups, moodboard, and flow diagram.
